7 1/2 inch barrel, factory original NICKEL finish, MINT condition. All original beautiful vivid ROYAL BLUE on back of hammer, screw heads and trigger. Original checkered Colt hard rubber grips. Left side of frame is numbered 249-MD, standing for "Canadian Department of Militia and Defense". Provenance - "Colt's Double Action Revolver Model of 1878" by Don Wilkerson, page 77. Like new. SCARCE etched 7 1/2 inch barrel marked "FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". 85% to 90% original bright blue, some brown streaks. Bore shiny, action needs adjusting. Back of hammer, trigger and screw heads are original beautiful royal blue. Original Colt hard rubber checkered grips. Manufactured in 1884. A desirable Colt variation. NRA antique excellent.

Revolver, 476 Cal.
7 1/2 inch barrel. Barrel address is "COLT PT. FA. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. USA DEPOT 14 PALL MALL LONDON". Matching assembly numbers on grip frame and loading gate, Colt checkered hard rubber grips with encircled Rampant Colt, markings clear, frame has approximately 40% original blue. Barrel and cylinder are brown patina. Cylinder has London proof house markings behind each flute and bottom of barrel, "476 caliber" on left side of the trigger guard, only approximately 355 manufactured with 7 1/2 inch barrel and blue finish in 476 caliber. Manufactured in 1885. With factory letter from Colt. ANTIQUE.

Marked "455 CAL" over a larger E on the left side of trigger guard, 5 1/2 inch barrel, one line address on top of barrel. "COLTS PT. FA. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. USA DEPOT 14 PALL MALL LONDON". Cylinder and bottom of barrel are marked with London proof house markings, matching numbers on cylinder, grip frame, original checkered wood grips, matching assembly numbers on grip frame under grip and loading gate, brown patina and blue, slight amount of shallow spotting. Manufactured in 1883. ANTIQUE.
